Keolis’ subsidiary in Norway was awarded its first bus network by Skyss, the public transport authority of Bergen, to operate a 9½ year contract in the Bergen city centre and the West side. The €333M contract – which is expected to be signed following a stand-still period of 10 days – will come into effect on 1 December 2020. The network features a fleet that runs on 100% renewable energy, consisting of 136 buses, mainly electric, expected to run a total of 5.7 million kilometres and carry 17 million passengers annually. With this new contract, Keolis counts an additional 340 employees.
